Viabel

The project sought to readjust our consumer culture by devising implementations of action-changing approaches and clever product design.

ReSet

“Reset” is an outfit that consists of a jacket and overalls, both equipped with a modular pocket system.

All elements are reversible, one side remaining plain and subdued, While the other is loud and just Fun! The pockets and upper part of the overalls can be removed, allowing for a ton of variations when getting dressed and assuring one will never become bored with this outfit. There is a configuration perfect for whatever you need to carry or get done and to do so in style!

The m aterials we’ve decided on are unbleached and undyed cotton for one side and the “ Stickvlies” material we have developed on the other. The cotton is ecologically sources and resistant to wear and tear, while providing a plain look to be appropriate for any situation ranging from casual to formal. It is also a wonderful base to add colorful pockets onto. The “Stickvlies” consists of upclycled material, giving it new life and giving our outfit a unique, interesting and beautiful look. We believe it will also start conversations about sustainability in fashion.

Also included is a set of utensils made up of sewing yarn wound up on a spool, around needle and multiple pin needles, all kept safe in a case that doubles as a thimble.

Side Quests

Along with the main task, there were also other short assignments, namely designing and making cases for pencil sharpeners and bottle lids. This was done to enhance the experience of carrying and using them, thereby encouraging re-using a bottle and more frequent pencil usage, as opposed to using, owning, and ultimately discarding heaps of cheap pens.

Bottle lid case was designed in cooperation with Michel Schneider
