Each age group has its demands in the urban space. However, sitting, playing and talking are common denominators for old and young. Hocker Soccer is a miniature stadium with space for these activities for all generations. It consists of green pigmented concrete floor slabs, concrete seating sections and an entrance section. Four of the seating sections are identical and serve as goals to which a steel wire net is attached. The remaining three exterior sections are also identical and serve as additional seating areas. All modular exterior and floor parts together form a circular seating and play arena, which is expressed by the massiveness of the concrete. The steel net frame stretched on the outside prevents the ball from flying away and therefore constantly interrupting the fun of the game. The base plate consists of eight equal circular sections and a circle in the middle. It allows the water, which would otherwise collect in case of rain, to run off due to an upward curvature. In front of each goal there are two footprints recessed in the ground, on which users should place their feet during the game, so that fair play is possible without constant blocking of the goal area. The existing modularity has allowed us to design even more parts to increase the maximum number of players. By adding one straight seating section per side, even in crowded places, everyone can find a seat on Stool Soccer. Communication among players is encouraged with both floor plans because you can sit opposite each other and have conversations.

Hide & See is a play object consisting of a horizontally rotatable round platform and a tube firmly attached to it with a ladder and stilts. From the ladder and from inside the tube, children and adolescents can selectively perceive a small section of their surroundings in a focused manner and block out the rest. Since these age groups have a lack of places to retreat, Hide &See allows them to discover and appreciate the details of Weimarhallenpark unobserved. New and better captured perspectives of the numerous interesting, visually appealing and historically relevant views (landscaping, nature and architecture), as well as a good observation of what is happening in the park, form a basis for children’s imagination and also enrich the awareness of all other age groups. They can enjoy the changing scenery and the spinning fun from the platform or from on the tube. Getting Hide & See spinning at up to walking speed can be done by different movements: Either by standing on the static platform inside the tube and turning the object with the arms or by walking up and down thereby shifting one’s weight to a higher point. One can also get moving by spinning it from the side before jumping aboard. The cladding of the metal frame, which stabilizes all parts of the structure, is made of planed and stained wood to provide users with a pleasant feel when playing on all components and at the same time evoke a sense of closeness to nature.
